A record was set today for a yellow diamond with the sale of the ‘Graff Vivid Yellow’, a 100.09-carat daffodil yellow diamond ring sold for $16,347,847.
With its exceptional size and a superb daffodil color, the Graff Vivid Yellow is a truly extraordinary diamond with immense presence.
In an unusual turn of events the diamond was pulled from Sotheby’s Geneva Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction Tuesday only to reappear about 15 minutes later where it sold for more than $16.3 million.
It appeared the buyer was having trouble with the currency exchange rate.
