We were recently contacted by French Connection Films to help promote their upcoming West Coast Premiere of their newly released DVD “Master of Dreams” at The Gemological Institute of America headquarters in Carlsbad, CA, this coming Wednesday, Sept. 18.
“Master of Dreams” is a four-part documentary series that goes behind-the-scenes with thirteen of the world’s most legendary jewellery brands.
From France, Italy, South Africa, to the the UK and the Americas, the series takes viewers on a magical trip around the world to get an exclusive, inside look at the inspiration, design and creation of today’s most magnificent jewels.
From the original drawing boards to the studio workshops, viewers can finally witness first-hand how these jewellery houses manage to bring their “dreams” to life.
Bringing to light the history of these brands, their global footprint, as well as their unique position in the world of luxury jewellers, the series also takes viewers inside exclusive events such as the Christie’s auction of the Elizabeth Taylor Collection in New York (December 2011), the opening of Bulgari’s “125 Years of Italian Significance” retrospective in Shanghai (February 2012), the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival (May 2012), the London Masterpiece Fair (July 2012) and the Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris.

Stern, John Hardy, Stephen Webster and Verdura, with exclusive interviews from the original founders, innovative designers, and brand ambassadors.
Based on an original idea by Eric Ellena and Kenneth McGrath, the documentary series was directed by Eric Ellena (Episode 1: The Italian Jewellers), Guillaume DeGinestel (Episode 2: The French Jewellers), Jane Lipman (Episode 3: The English and South African Jewellers) and Sean O’Sullivan (Episode 4: The Jewellers of the Americas).
The special edition set of “Masters of Dreams” includes 2 DVDs (with four episodes, bilingual in French & English) and an exclusive 24-page booklet with photos and profiles of the thirteen jewellers featured in the series.
